We offer explainations of many Spa Treatments and Terminology to help you decide what best meets your needs. Though we might not currently offer all of these services in our facility, we are always growing and expanding to provide the highest quality services to our clients.

Acupressure
An ancient Oriental healing technique based on Taoist philosophy. The aim is to balance the energy meridians to permit the body to "heal itself." A relatively painless technique, acupuncture can be administered by using needles, low voltage electronic current (electro-acupuncture) or through pinpoint massage (acupressure).
Acupressure Massage
Ancient Chinese massage technique used to restore the unrestricted flow of energy by stimulating specific pressure points in the body.
AHA Treatment
AHA is an exfoliation process using fruity acids and collagen in high concentrates to provide deeply cleansed pores, smoothed lines/wrinkles, purified acne-prone skin and a fresh new complexion.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy massage is a soothing scented massage using essential oils extracted from plants that are known for their healing properties.
Ayurveda Treatment
An ancient Indian folk medicine that employs a large variety of treatments by waters to restore and revitalize the body. Ayurveda utilizes the curative properties of plants, herbs and essential oils to improve the skin's health and relieve the stress, tension and emotion of daily life.
Balneotherapy
The use of water to restore and revitalize the body. Since antiquity, balnerotherapy has been used to improve circulation, fortify the immune system as an antalgic (pain reliever), and as an anti-stress treatment.
Brush & Tone
Dry brushing of the skin. Intended to remove dead layers and impurities while stimulating circulation. This is one of many exfoliating techniques used as a pretreatment for mud and seaweed body masks. A moisturizing lotion completes the treatment leaving your skin silky smooth, alive, and glowing.
Chakra
Refers to the seven energy centers of the body. Taken from the Sanskrit word meaning "wheel". Chakras are located in important parts of your body such as your head or heart. Any organs within the area of these Chakras are used to control and are, therefore, directly affected by the properties of that Chakra. There are seven Chakras located throughout the body, each with their own unique attributes and characteristics
Craniosacral Massage
A gentle hands-on massage centering on the head. This therapy benefits a great number of conditions such as migraines, stress and tension, anxiety, TMJ, Fibromyalgia, sinus problems, insomnia, PMS, and many more.
Cryotonic Leg Refresher
Cryotonic Leg Services help to protect, tone, and increase circulation in your legs, which are prone to varicose veins. Leaves your legs feelings refreshed, decongested, and sooths swollen, tired legs.
Dead Sea Mud Treatment
The application of Dead Sea mud, rich in minerals, to detoxify the skin and the body and to relieve rheumatic and arthritic pain.
Deep Tissue Muscle Massage
A type of massage designed to free congestion of the muscle attachments. Deep work brings about realignment of postural distortions and restores proper range of motion. Liberation of emotional tensions may also result. Muscle function and awareness are balanced, and elasticity is revived.
Endermologie
Endermologie is a patented machine that uses gentle suctioning, rolling, and a trained technician to flush out loose flat globules, tighten loose skin, smooth out wrinkles, and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Exfoliation
Peels away dry skin cells and removes deeply-trapped secretions that impede oxygenation. Once a month your body rids itself of dead cells. These defunct cells fall from the skin on their own, but a good exfoliation can boost the process and make skin radiate! Exfoliation is particularly important after the ravages of the long, cold winter that thickens and dries out the skin.
Glycolic Facial
An alpha-hydroxyl acid based facial that breaks down the glue bond that holds dry skin on the face, and then creates a rapid exfoliation to soften lines and smooth the skin.
Gommage
A cleansing rehydrating treatment which uses creams that are applied in long massage type movements.
Hydrotherapy
One of the oldest natural therapies, it stimulates blood and lymph circulation, relieves congestion, tones body tissue, eases pain and relaxes the nervous system by the use of water.
Lymph Draining
A specialty therapeutic massage stimulates the lymphatic system, which is the body's immune system, using a gentle pumping technique to drain away pockets of water retention and trapped toxins while it soothes and relaxes. Considered by many, European cure doctors as a premiere anti-aging treatment. Lymph drainage can be achieved through manual massage, hydra massage or with aromatherapy massage and is an excellent choice for relieving the pain and swelling of sinusitis.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is effective in reducing fine lines, "crow's feet," age spots, and acne scars. It stimulates the production of skin cells and collagen. The treatment procedure uses a hand piece which emits crystals onto the surface of the skin, resulting in a gentle abrasion or "polishing" process.
Mud Treatment
A treatment which involves the application or submersion of self into mineral-rich mud in order to detoxify the body, loosen muscles, stimulate circulation, and hydrate & exfoliate the skin leaving it with a vital, healthy glow.
Paraffin Treatment
Melted paraffin is applied to the skin to trap heat, absorb toxins, and induce relaxation. After solidifying, it is briskly whisked off leaving the skin silky smooth.
Pilates
Strength training movements involving coordinated breathing techniques developed in Germany by Dr. Joseph Pilates during the 1920s. Pilates improve flexibility, agility and economy of motion and can help alleviate back pain and stress.
Salt Glow
The body is rubbed with coarse salt, sometimes in combination with fragrant oils, to remove the top layer of dead skin and stimulate circulation.
Seaweed Wrap
Body wrap or mask of concentrated seaweed with a balance of the oceans nutrients, minerals, rare trace elements, vitamins, and proteins which are soaked into the blood stream to revitalize skin and body.
Steam Room
Tiled room with benches where steam is generated to high temperatures. This treatment is used to open pores and cleanse out toxins.
Swedish Massage
A classical European massage technique of the muscles with special oils by therapeutic stroking and kneading of muscle tissue to promote stress relief. It is used to improve circulation, relieve muscle pain and tension, increase flexibility and induce relaxation. It combines three basic strokes to the skin: long, firm strokes; kneading strokes; and small circles. This is the most requested and one of the most enjoyable massages.
Thai Massage
A technique that involves a unique combination of gentle rocking and stretching using range of motion and acupressure techniques applied through clothing without oils.
Thalassotherapy
Thalassotherapy is an effective treatment system that assists in the rejuvenation of the cells using fresh heated seawater, which induces an exchange of minerals and toxins between the blood and the water. This treatment uses the therapeutic benefits of the sea and seawater products, seaweed and algae wraps and also seawater hydrotherapy to soothe those with certain medical conditions such as arthritis.
Vichy Shower
The Vichy Shower Treatment is a luxurious water treatment that detoxifies, hydrates, and is intensely relaxing both spiritually and physically; a light rain treatment conducted with your personalized application of warmed essential oils, leaving your skin to feel soothing, tingling and sedated. It provides pressure point massage jets over your entire body to assist in the relaxation and stimulation of the mind and body. It is perfect for those that are seeking pure relaxation and a chance to get away from it all!
Watsu Massage
A massage treatment that is performed with the client and therapist are in a pool of water. The technique combines shiatsu and acupressure in flowing dance-like movements where the body is supported by water and the practitioner.
Whitening Treatment
A type of skin bleaching used to reduce blemishes, freckles or lighten unwanted darker skin areas
Yoga
An oriental practice that uses special positions and controlled breathing, to stretch and tone the body, improve circulation, calm the central nervous system and induce a meditative and all-embracing state of being. It is also a philisophical discipline.
