The skin condition Rosacea affects more Americans than you would think. Thanks to new marketing and outreach programs more Americans are now aware of this skin condition than ever before. For those of you who suffer from Rosacea, the summer months can be grueling. Our number one recommendation to you (and ALL of our clients) is to wear sunscreen! We now have specialty treatments and products for rosacea that are protective and soothing to your sensitive skin. Another helpful hint we can give is to not wash your face with hot water. Your water should be luke-warm. Also blot your face to dry your skin never wipe or pull the tender skin on your face. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!!!!!

*Wear shoes that fit properly. There should be a thumb's width between the toe of you shoe and your longest toe.
*Try on shoes at the end of the day. As the day goes on your feet swell. Try to shoe shop later in the day to get the most accurate fit.
*Protect your feet. If you are wearing shoes that tend to give you a blister. apply a layer of petroleum jelly to minimize the friction.
*Break in new shoes. Try to wear them a couple of hours a day around the house until they are comfortable.
*Find the shoe that is the best for you. Shoes with shock absorption,like sneakers, are good for arched feet. If your feet are flat, opt for shoes with support. Consider using an insert placed in your shoe to give your foot its' optimal comfort.
