A word from our founder...
As I look back upon the nearly
14 years since I embarked upon my dream of bringing
a full service, high quality spa to our wonderful
small town community, I am proud of the lessons
learned through the many changes. I am grateful
for all of you who have stood by me and our family
of professional staff, as we continually grow in
our respective crafts, elevating the standards of
client care. Most of all, I am profoundly touched
when I realize that through all of this, many of
you have quietly, yet assuredly grown alongside
me, no longer simply clients, but my dear friends
and trusted colleagues.
It is in this context that I ask
you to join me now in welcoming the newest members
of our talented and capable staff to our family.
I know that when you come in for your services,
the infusion of their positive energy will be evident.

October 16th from 5:30-8:00 p.m: A Taste of Uptown,
representing the culmination of the Live after Five
Free Concert Series. This event will be at the County
Bank Plaza, located at 419 Main Street and Skin
Essentials will be there offering free seated chair
massages on Waller Ave., near the Uptown Sushi Bar.
October 20th: The 2008 Holiday Showcase at the Inn
on the Square from 6 p.m to 8 p.m., sponsored by
Greenwood Business & Professional Women for
the benefit of the Greenwood Cancer Fund. Tickets
are $25 and are available for purchase at Skin Essentials.
November 15th and 16th Holiday Open House: During
this event, we invite you to stop in for a tour
of our spa, which will be adorned for the holidays.

Gift Certificate Sales for the holidays:
From Monday, November 17th through Tuesday, December
23, 2008, we will have our Waller Avenue entrance
open from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. for gift certificate
sales only, for your convenience in holiday gift
giving. For service appointments or appointment
scheduling, please continue to use the Phoenix Street
entrance.
Thanksgiving: We will be closed
for the Thanksgiving holiday beginning Thursday,
November 27th and reopening on Monday, December
1st. *We will be open on November 22, 2008 (the
4th Saturday)*
Christmas: On Wednesday, December 24th,
we will have front desk staff available from 9:00
a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for gift certificate and retail
sales only. We will not be able to accommodate requests
for appointments on that day. We will be closed
on Thursday, December 25th.
New Year: We will be closed on Wednesday, December
31st and Thursday, January 1st 2009 for the New
Years holiday.

Recent events have indicated the need for a gentle,
but important reminder to our clients. Please be
aware that when you have an appointment scheduled,
our therapists and spa staff have scheduled their
time accordingly, putting forth time and effort
to ensure that you receive the level of service
and attention to detail that you richly deserve.
Therefore, if circumstances arise which will prevent
you from keeping an appointment; please call to
let us know right away. We will be happy to reschedule
your services for a more convenient time. This is
important not only to our therapists, but also to
other clients who need to schedule with them. We
appreciate your consideration.
