A word from our founder...
There is an old saying that goes,
"The more things change, the more they stay
the same." I don't know who this quote is attributable
to, but I do know that it is an enduring truth.
I have learned both personally and professionally
that in order to move forward, we must not only
accept change, but embrace it. It is by embracing
change that we adapt and grow. Sometimes, these
changes lead us down old and familiar roads. Which
is what brings me to tell you of some upcoming changes
here at Skin Essentials. For instance, in anticipation
of changes which we will be making to the salon
area, we are going to return to our original entrance
on the quaint and historic Waller Avenue. Additionally,
we may be eliminating the full time front desk staff,
meaning that we will return to the days when therapists
will maintain their own appointment schedules, make
confirmation calls, and check out clients following
their services.
I want you all to know that with the upcoming
changes, as in everything, each decision is made
with you, our client, in mind. As you know, we strive
to exceed your expectations and on this point we
will not compromise! However, we must make
adjustments in order to adapt to the current economy
and its impact on each of our lives. I will keep
you informed of the changes and I will be available
to address any questions or concerns that you may
have.

yoga instructor and is happy to offer private and
semi-private yoga for all skill levels and goals in
the intimate and nurturing environment of Skin Essentials.

restorative yoga, Mommy and Me, and couples yoga,
this is an excellent opportunity to rejuvenate while

Couples Massage for $155,
gratuities included. In celebration of Valentine's
Day, we are offering couples' Swedish massage, with

Partner Yoga: $65 for

I want to thank the clients and staff of Skin Essentials
for their continued support through 2008, another
wonderful year of being a part of our great community
of Greenwood. Lewis and I hosted a Christmas party
at our home for the staff, as well as friends, family,
and neighbors. At the party, Darla Lordemann was
honored with the title of Employee of the Year.
This award is determined by fellow staff input and
confirms that Darla exemplifies the characteristics
that we all strive for: professionalism, integrity,
enthusiasm, loyalty, and dedication to the clients,
