Making Your Appointment
Selecting a Treatment
We offer a wide variety of spa services and flexible appointment times. If you will be receiving more than one service during your visit, we will be happy to recommend an order sequence that may best enhance your experience.
*Spa Packages for 2 or more people require a credit card deposit
Short Notice List
We occassionally have cancellations for services. We offer a short notice list for those that would like to be notified of any openings that become available, if you wish to be placed on our short notice list to be phoned in the event of a cancellation Please let us know.
Appointment Time
Select treatments fitting into the rest of your schedule. For example, facials often leave the skin unevenly colored and should not be scheduled before an outting or event.
Preparing for your Appointment
Arrival Time
It's best to arrive 15 minutes prior to your service. We are committed to offering all our clients a reliable timetable; that's why your treatment will always end at the scheduled time. Please understand that in consideration for all of our guests, your services may need to be altered or rescheduled if your arrival time is less than 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
Parking
For our clients convenience we have moved our main entrance to our Hair & Nail Studio on Phoenix Street. We suggest using the rear parking lot, next to the Chamber of Commerce, if your services will last longer than 2 hours.
Drink Plenty of Water
Drink plenty of water two hours before and after all body treatments. This will help eliminate any toxins in the bloodstream, before and after your service, please avoid alcohol consumption and minimize caffeine intake prior to your visit as well.
Medical Concerns
For the protection of your health, we request that you disclose any allergies and/or medical conditions and/or medications that you are taking. Some services may be hazardous to certain conditions or drugs. All medical information is kept strictly confidential.
Waxing Services
For your comfort, we recommend that waxing be performed when hair growth has reached approximaately 1/4" in length or 3 weeks of growth. We cannot perform facial waxing serices on clients who are taking Accutane, Retin-A, or antibiotics due to sensitivity these products cause to the skin.
Shaving
Shaving is not recommended the day of your treatments (Gentlemen, this would also apply to you if you are coming in for a facial or peel). The products utilized for many of the cleansing and exfoliating processes can be irritating to freshly shaven or waxed skin.
Spa Etiquette And Policies
Cancellations
If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call 24 hours prior to your scheduled time.
No-Show Policy
If a client misses a scheduled appointment they will be subject to a charge equal to 70% of the intended service.
Children
We offer a calm and relaxing environment for our clients. Please be aware that we do not have accommodations for young children. We ask that you refrain from bringing your children to the facility unless they are receiving services.
Valuables
It is recommended that you not bring valuables with you for your Spa appointment. We will provide a safe place to keep personal items however Skin Essentials is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Noise
Special attention to your privacy, comfort and relaxation is given during all spa services.We ask that you maintain quiet conversations in all areas of the facility. We also ask that you shut off all communication devices such as cell phones, pagers, etc. so that all visitors, including you, can relax.
Your Comfort
We strive to provide every client a relaxing and comforting experience during each visit to our spa. Remember to communicate with us if you are too hot or too cold, if you are uncomfortable with the amount of pressure being exerted during a massage, if the music is too loud, etc.
Concluding your Visit
Treatment Products
Skin Essentials uses products of the highest quality. We recommend you not shower them off immediately when you get home as to fully enjoy the therapeutic ingredients absorbed deeply into your skin.
Make your next Appointment
Making your next appointment before you leave will provide you with the best opportunity to get your desired appointment time versus a last minute call and the potential for inconvenient options. If you wish to be placed on a short-notice list to be phoned in the event of a cancellation, please let us know and we will gladly add you.

Gratuity
A gratuity is not included in the price of salon and spa services, only in spa packages. However, please note that our staff’s highest goal is to provide you with a spa experience that was everything you expected and more. If we have accomplished that goal then please feel free to tip accordingly.
Prolonging your Spa Experience
Skin Essentials stocks many of our spa products for sale. If there is a particular product that you enjoyed during your service and would like to try at home, please inquire about it's availability.
